How does the free background remover work?
The browser downloads a self-hosted ONNX model and WebAssembly runtime from Trendzza. Inference then happens locally on your device. The tool creates a foreground mask, applies it to the original image, and produces a transparent PNG without sending the image to a server.
Why can the first run take longer?
The model and local inference engine must download once. Modern browsers cache those files, so later removals should start faster. Processing speed depends on image dimensions, memory, processor performance, and browser support.
Which images produce the best results?
Use a clear subject with visible edges and reasonable contrast from the background. Fine hair, transparent objects, heavy motion blur, and crowded scenes are more difficult for compact local models.
